Rangers News Views Corrections Policy

Corrections Policy

Rangers News Views is committed to accuracy, transparency and accountability. While we take great care to verify information before publication, mistakes can occasionally occur. When they do, our responsibility is to correct them promptly and openly in order to maintain trust with readers.

How We Handle Corrections

1. Factual Errors

Readers can report factual inaccuracies or potential errors using the “Report an error in an article” option on the Contact page.

If an article contains an incorrect fact (such as inaccurate match detail, misattributed quote or wrong statistic), we will:

  • correct the error as soon as it is identified
  • add a short correction note at the bottom of the article if the change affects meaning
  • update the “date modified” timestamp

2. Minor Updates

Typographical improvements, grammar fixes or small clarifications that do not alter the meaning of an article may be made without a correction note.

3. Transparency

For significant factual changes, a brief note will be added such as:

Correction: This article previously stated X; this has been updated to Y for accuracy.

4. Reporting an Error

If you believe an article contains a factual issue, please contact:

📩 editor@rangersnewsviews.co.uk

Include:

  • the link to the article
  • a short description of the issue
  • any supporting information (if relevant)

We typically respond within 24–48 hours.

Our Commitment to Readers

Corrections strengthen credibility. We believe in acknowledging mistakes transparently and ensuring our coverage remains accurate, fair and up to date. This policy reflects our commitment to journalistic integrity and reader trust.
