There’s a real sense at the minute that the team is missing that edge you need for the tougher away fixtures. Against the St Mirren/Livi type opponents we’ve looked a step off the pace, no real urgency in the midfield and not enough runners beyond the ball. That’s worrying when the schedule hands us more away games than home matches — those little margins matter.

Set-plays and who takes responsibility

On the free-kick stuff, I agree with the gripe. Tav has been insisting on taking them and you're left wondering if that's always the right call. Skov's deliveries have been better to watch; he gets decent quality into the box. To be fair, you want players who can take responsibility, but you also need the best man to do the job. Why not let others try when it’s not working? It’s not about personalities — it’s about getting results.

Right-back and the need for pace

We badly need a full-back who can run beyond the winger, like Rommens does when he overlaps and stretches the defence. At present Tav’s lack of forward burst limits what our wide men can do. If the club is considering a one-year extension for him, then it should be framed honestly: backup, squad depth, cover. Prioritise a dynamic right-back next close season who offers genuine width and legs.

Striker selection and system clarity

Finally, the striker conversation. If the two-up-front setup is working — and you can see where that approach gives us pressure — then keep backing it. If Rohl isn’t convinced Miovski is the man for that role long-term, fair enough, but be clear. Don’t tinker without a plan. Continuity breeds confidence. We need the manager to pick a shape and stick with it so the players know what’s expected on and off the ball.

Truth is, none of this is rocket science. A bit more bite, clarity over who takes set-pieces, and a proper pacey right-back would calm a lot of nerves. Give the lads the right tools and a clear plan — the rest should follow.
