It’s all part of the fabric of being a Rangers supporter.

Of course we’re waiting for that marquee arrival — the signing that makes everyone sit up and tells the rest of Scottish football that Rangers mean business. Maybe it’s still to come. Maybe deals are quietly being worked on while the rest of us argue over rumours.

Whatever happens, it feels different this time. There’s a manager in place, players arriving, and standards appearing to return. Decisions look like they’re being made with purpose rather than panic. Will every signing work out? Of course not — football doesn’t work like that. But hope does.

That, more than anything, explains why this time of season is addictive. Every rumour could be the missing piece. Every announcement could transform the team.
