Why the Tromso news matters
If another club can have a bid rejected, you have to ask how seriously we’ve approached this. Conversations with Dahl’s camp would make sense only if our offer was competitive. If it isn’t, then the whole narrative of an imminent signing doesn’t sit right. You can see why people are suspicious when other teams are still in the mix while the usual certainty on transfers is replaced by noise.
Is Raskin the sticking point?
Loads of folk have said the Raskin move isn’t linked to this one, but it’s looking less likely every day. The simplest explanation often wins: when Raskin goes, funds free up and deals can be finished. If that’s the case, it explains the stalling. If it isn’t, then why are we waiting?
