Placing Raskin between £15–17m and then suggesting he could be worth £25m after a handful of World Cup appearances feels wildly optimistic. To be fair, a short tournament can raise a players profile, but that doesnt suddenly rewrite a full season's body of work or fix the parts of his game people are griping about.

Theres always a market premium after international tournaments. A good few minutes on a big stage does wonders for a profile. But markets usually reward consistency over time, not a brief flash. If youre arguing Raskins price doubled because of three games, youre asking supporters to accept hype over the long grind of league football. You can see why people are sceptical.
