Can't hold on to anger and bitterness from the past. It makes you ill living in that state, and it does nothing for Rangers. If we're honest, the club made choices and the players took decisions for their livelihoods. That's not easily judged from the stands.

Why hanging on hurts

Holding grudges is corrosive. To be fair, we all have strong feelings when someone who wore the badge leaves the way they did, but keeping that anger bubbling only breeds toxicity. It spills out at matches, into forums and chants, and it turns reasonable debate into bitter personal attacks. None of that helps the team or the supporters who want a better matchday atmosphere.

Players make hard calls

Players are people with families and careers to think about. I imagine they do what's best for their own situation, sometimes difficult choices. The club also makes decisions in its interest. It's not always a simple right-or-wrong story. If someone like Naismith still cares for Rangers, and I believe many ex-players do, then maybe there's room for reconciliation. Would you want to return somewhere you were openly hated? I wouldn't.

What we should do as fans

Change starts at home. If we want a positive, united fanbase, we have to be better in the stands. That means cooling the abuse, dropping the constant reminders, and allowing former players and staff a chance to help if they can. I back Cavanagh 100% on wanting change. We all want what's best for Rangers. So let's own our part and try to lift the mood rather than drag it down.

Concrete changes can be simple and meaningful. Applaud service rather than jeer every mistake, and aim criticism at performances not personal lives. Don't drag families and off-field choices into chants. If the club ever brings someone back in a coaching or ambassador role, judge them on the contribution they make, not old headlines. That's how we move on together, healthier in ourselves and stronger behind the team.

Forgiveness doesn't mean forgetting, but it does mean choosing the club's interest over petty resentments. Let by-gones be by-gones where possible, and focus on pushing Rangers forward. To be fair, that would be a healthier way to support the team.
